At Vipad®, we manufacture rubber bearings (elastomeric bearing pads) designed to meet the load transfer and vibration damping requirements of bridges, viaducts and heavy industrial equipment. Rubber bearings are structural components that support vertical loads from the superstructure while flexibly accommodating horizontal movements and rotational movements caused by temperature variations, earthquakes and traffic loads. As shown in the product image, our bearings consist of stacked steel plates with vulcanized rubber layers between them. This structure provides high stiffness in the vertical direction while maintaining flexibility in the horizontal direction.

The correct hardness level, generally between 50 and 60 Shore A, layer configuration and dimensions are calculated by our engineering team according to the applied load, permitted displacement and seismic zone requirements.
